Choose a consistent size for your store
| Preset | Dimensions | Use |
|---|---|---|
| Shopify square | 2048 × 2048 px | A consistent square product grid |
| Etsy square | 2000 × 2000 px | Square listing photos |
| Etsy landscape | 3000 × 2250 px | Landscape listings with room around the subject |
These are practical starting sizes, not upload requirements. Store themes and marketplace thumbnails can crop images differently. Read the image sizing guide before publishing.
Common questions
What is the difference between fit, padding and crop?
Keep ratio fits the complete image inside your chosen dimensions; one side may be shorter. Padding makes an exact-size image with space around the photo. Center crop fills the exact size and removes the edges. None of these modes stretches the subject.
Which format should I choose?
JPG works well for product photography. PNG keeps transparent areas when you choose Transparent, but files can be larger. WebP can produce smaller files for compatible stores. For Etsy, use JPG or a PNG with a solid background.
Are images uploaded or stored?
No. Image processing and ZIP creation happen in your browser. Reloading or closing the page clears the batch. Your original files are never overwritten.
Will every file get smaller?
No. Enlarging an image, adding padding or exporting to PNG can increase its file size. Compare the before-and-after sizes. Use smaller dimensions or lower JPG/WebP quality when needed.
